CCIM Partner, Development
Dan Lowe is a Managing Partner and one of the founding partners of RED Development, LLC. His development responsibilities include project coordination, financing, budgeting, equity structure, due diligence, governmental relations, lease review and legal aspects for each project. For RED Development, Dan has personally led the development of centers totaling more than 4.6 million square feet in numerous communities including Kansas City; Lincoln, Neb.; Little Rock, Ark.; and Westminster, Colo., among others. Centers under Dan’s direction include Eagle River Station (552,000 sq. ft.) in Eagle, Colo.; One Nineteen (166,000 sq. ft.) in Leawood, Kan.; Summit Fair (500,000 sq. ft.) in Lee’s Summit, Mo.; The Legends at Sparks Marina (1 million+ sq. ft.) in Sparks, Nev.; Adams Dairy Landing (600,000 sq. ft.) in Blue Springs, Mo.; and the multi-use Akard Place project (1 million sq. ft.) in Dallas, Texas.
Partner, Leasing
As one of RED Development’s founding partners, Scott Rehorn has led the company’s leasing activities since 1995. During the past 13 years, Scott has built a leasing team that prides itself on developing outstanding relationships with key tenants in the lifestyle and power center industry. Among his successes is being able to attract marquee tenants such as Williams-Sonoma, Anthropologie, Apple, Coldwater Creek, Crate and Barrel, Lowe’s, Best Buy, Von Maur, Scheels, Target, and P.F. Chang’s to mid-sized markets across the Midwest and Southwest. In all, he has overseen the leasing of more than 6 million square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space for RED’s projects. Scott leads the leasing efforts on nearly 9 million square feet of RED shopping centers under construction or development. Scott also led the development of Woodbury Lakes (398,000 sq. ft.) in Woodbury, Minn.
Partner, Design
Jeff McMahon joined RED Development, LLC, in 2001 to lead the architecture and design efforts for the company and became a partner in spring 2002. For each shopping center development, Jeff conceptualizes design, oversees the architectural components and coordinates plans with RED’s architectural and engineering partners. Since becoming involved with RED’s projects in 1995, Jeff has overseen the design and architecture of 16 shopping centers totaling nearly 7 million square feet, with centers totaling nearly 9 million square feet underway. Overall, Jeff has nearly 25 years of design experience in the retail industry.
Partner, President
Steve Maun leads RED Development’s day-to-day operations and strategic planning. He oversees the company’s construction, human resources, and accounting and finance, and has led efforts to formalize RED's growth plans, long-term vision and project management. Under Steve's leadership since 2002, the company has continued to add additional projects, increased its employee base from 22 to nearly 200, solidified its brand position; and implemented operating procedures, information technology and new accounting systems. In 2004, Steve oversaw the formation and successful launch of RED Asset Management, Inc., which manages RED's property portfolio.
